From Kirstenbosch to Stellenbosch, get ready for a treat under the stars as you celebrate the ties that bind us all—be it the laughter-laced camaraderie of Galentine’s Day or the heart-fluttering romance of Valentine’s Day.

Kicking off with the iconic Mean Girls on Wednesday, 12 February, at the picturesque Kirstenbosch Garden, this nostalgic film is perfect for friends looking to get together before the official day of love. Don your best pink attire for a chance to win a fabulous best-dressed prize!

Grab the gals!
On Thursday, 13 February, it’s time to grab the gals for Galentine’s Day with the screening of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle at Kirstenbosch Garden. Expect an evening of action, romance, and comedy with the ultimate squad of badass female fighters. Celebrate the power of friendship with your closest friends as you cheer on these fearless heroines.

Valentine’s Day double show
For the first time, The Galileo is hosting not one but two simultaneous Special Valentine’s Shows on Friday, 14 February, to allow more guests to spoil their significant other at the most popular show of the season. Choose between Kirstenbosch Garden, right on the slopes of Table Mountain, or Nooitgedacht Wine Estate in the heart of the Winelands. The romantic comedy Valentine’s Day will be screened on this special day, directed by the same visionary behind Pretty Woman. This ensemble cast includes stars like Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, and Bradley Cooper.

Pack a picnic, grab your loved ones, and prepare for a night of love and laughter. Both special show venues will have various food options, from pizza and nachos to popcorn and sweets. To keep the romance in the air, enjoy pre-movie live music entertainment from artists Ezra Lingeveldt (at Kirstenbosch Garden) and Kirya Kuti (at Nooitgedacht Wine Estate), and be welcomed with a glass of Cap Classique bubbly by Villiera Wines or a refreshing Sir Fruit juice, tasty chocolate, and a beautiful red tulip from the talented florists at Bunches for Africa.
