What are the trends you’re seeing in home design when it comes to this high-touch standard of luxury?

Luxury home design is becoming more experiential. Clients want spaces that are not only beautiful, but comfortable, functional, and considered in every detail.
We are seeing the same shift in home cinema design. It is no longer only about high-performance sound and picture. Clients want cinemas that feel as good as they perform. The technology, interiors, acoustics, lighting, seating, and comfort all need to work together.

That was the thinking behind the Platinum Cinema. It was created to show what is possible when performance, design, and experience are treated as one complete solution.

What do your clients really look for, is it the tech that drives the purchase or the experience design?

The experience drives the purchase, but the technology is what makes that experience possible.

Most clients do not come in asking for technical specifications. They know what they want when they feel it. They want the room to look beautiful, sound incredible, feel comfortable, and work effortlessly.

That is why we design around the full experience, from the performance and acoustics to the seating, lighting, air conditioning, finishes, and the smaller lifestyle details that make the space personal.
At this level, technology and design cannot be separated. They have to work together.

Tell us about BNC?

BNC Technology was founded in 2008 and has grown into an internationally recognised company specialising in home cinema and smart home technology.

We’ve always focused on doing it properly, from the initial design and engineering through to installation and calibration. We take a fully turnkey approach, which means we control the outcome. Every project is carefully considered, and every detail is intentional. The result is a space that performs as it should and integrates naturally into the home.

We’re a close-knit team, and everyone specialises in what they do. That shows in the final result, but also in how we work with our clients throughout the process.
